At 19 faculties, operating now in a university, about 20 thousand students study. The University has 1600 representatives of the tutoring staff, 207 of them – professors, 581 – associate professors, 375 – assistants, 453 – lecturers. 15 academicians and 19 corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences are involved in the educational process at YSU. Owing to highly skilled scientists, the university conducts the most important fundamental and applied researches in various areas of modern science. As for the scientific and educational work, it is held at more than 100 chairs, equipped with the latest technology and equipment.
