YSU Board of Trustees is the supreme governing body of the university, whose term of office is 5 years.
YSU Board of Trustees elects the Rector, discusses, approves YSU structure, budget, staff list, strategic development program, rector election regulations, annual report of the rector, implementation of amendments to the charter, etc.
The Board of Trustees is composed of the representatives of the university’s professorial staff, students, as well as eminent representatives of different spheres of education, science, culture, economy and YSU partner employers nominated by the authorized body in a proportion of 25% each.
YSU structural subdivisions nominate candidates from YSU professorial staff for membership in the Board of Trustees, and then 8 of them are approved by YSU Academic Council.
The composition of the Board of Trustees is approved by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia based on the nominations of the nominees.
The composition of the YSU Foundation Ad-hoc Council was approved by the acting Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia on 24.06.2021 (decision N 264-A, made by 3 members).
